Starting this newsletter has been one of the coolest things I’ve ever done—and the best part has been all the communication and feedback I’ve received from you! (Also, the extra coffee trips weren’t bad either.)

That’s why it’s bittersweet to share that I’ll be shutting down the DougCo Download. Our family has been navigating a job opportunity out of state over the past few weeks, and we’ve decided it’s one we just can’t pass up. Sadly, that means we won’t be in the great Douglas County for much longer.

I know we were just getting started, and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who reached out, sent in pet pics, or shared kind words. Your encouragement has meant the world. This project has brought me so much joy, and I definitely plan to start something similar in our new hometown—though it’s going to be tough to top this place and this community.

Cheers, and have an amazing rest of the summer! For those who enjoyed the format and the sense of community we built through the newsletter, I’d love to recommend a few other local newsletters to check out.
