I hope everyone had a blast this weekend despite the blistering heat! From Parker Days and the Car Show in Castle Rock to the Vetstock Music Festival, Douglas County was buzzing with activity. Most importantly—Lexi won the gift card giveaway to beat the heat with some ice cream! Congrats, Lexi—enjoy!

Ecclesia in Castle Rock has events happening all week, so definitely check them out. I still can’t wait for The Brickyard to open—it looks incredible. But maybe not quite as cool as the Dream House in Larkspur featured in this week’s DougCo Homes—check it out!

The Brickyard: Castle Rock’s $400M Destination for Living, Gathering & Play

Coming soon just west of downtown Castle Rock, The Brickyard is a $400 million, 31-acre mixed-use development that will blend recreation, dining, retail, and residential living in one dynamic hub. Anchored by the state-of-the-art Castle Rock Sport Center, the site will include a 4-star hotel, spa, market hall, six new restaurants, offices, condos, and apartments. Formerly the Acme Brickworks, the project honors its roots with timeless design and modern vibrancy—featuring over 485,000 sq. ft. of residential space and 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial offerings. Concrete Replacement Project Coming to Mainstreet Parker This Summer

Starting June 23, Mainstreet in downtown Parker will undergo a six-phase concrete replacement project between Parker Road and South Pine Drive. The $1.25 million town-funded effort will update deteriorating sidewalk and roadway sections that haven’t been replaced in over 40 years. Work will take place Monday–Thursday with weekend access restored. While eastbound or westbound closures will rotate by phase through mid-July, business access will remain open, and detours will be clearly marked. Follow link for more info.
